On veteran Indian spinner Harbhajan Singh’s 41st birthday, it is being announced that he is set to make his maiden appearance on the big screen with a film titled 'Friendship'. The makers of the film shared the poster of the video featuring the cricketer in which he can seen surrounded by a bunch of people all in joyous mood. This will be Bhajji’s first major role in movies.

It is being learned that in the film Bhajji’s character is an engineering first year student and somehow manages a clever escape from ragging by his seniors. The movie is set to be released later this year and will see a simultaneous release in Hindi, Telugu and Tamil. The film is directed by John Paul Raj and Sham Surya and is being produced by Kiran Reddy Mandadi with Ram Maddukuri as the co-producer.

Harbhajan's performance in IPL 2021

On the cricketing front, Harbhajan was last seen in the Indian Premier League, playing for the Kolkata Knight Riders. Although he just played three matches in the first leg, when the action shifts to the United Arab Emirates for the remainder of the tournament, he could well have a role to play with the pitches likely to have something for the spinners.

Talking about his performances in IPL 2021, Bhajji failed to pick a single wicket in the three matches he played in the tournament. Although he was a bit unlucky with a few catches getting dropped off his bowling overall he conceded 63 runs in his combined 7 overs, going at 9 runs an over.
