A lot of eyes are always on Hardik Pandya. The Gujarat Titans skipper is a talent that has been very rare in India. A seam-bowling all-rounder is something that the country hasn’t had an abundance of and therefore almost every well-wisher of Indian cricket wants Hardik at the prime of his fitness.
Having said that, Hardik has been battling injury concerns ever since he underwent back surgery. He was not bowling at all until a few months ago and while he has returned to bowling quick and has even taken the new ball in a few matches in IPL 2022, once again the ex-Mumbai Indians star seems to be dealing with an injury concern after he missed out a match due to groin injury and was seen sitting in the dugout while they were fielding against Kolkata Knight Riders on Saturday.
In his absence, Rashid Khan was leading the team.
Here is how Twitter reacted to Hardik sitting in the dugout:

#HardikPandya looks desperate to make a comeback for ICT and hence is in denial that he is injured which is evident while fielding and hasn’t been bowling too. BTW, great batting showcase. #IPL2022 #BCCI #aakashchopra #StarSports #irfanpathan #GTvKKR

Do you think #HardikPandya is match fit? I seriously doubt, in this condition he won't play WC2022 and Venkatesh has a decent chance for sure!

While he was not available on the field, he earlier scored a half-century which led Gujarat Titans past 150 in the game against Kolkata.

Looks like he is enjoying his captaincy. I didn't thought he would make a good captain but he is the most impressive captain of #IPL2022. I couldn't be more happy for being wrong there. Good signs for India considering World Cup ahead. Hope he stays fit 🤞#GTvKKR #HardikPandya
