Indian star all-rounder Hardik Pandya has once again emerged as a vital cog in the national squad. Pandya made a remarkable comeback in the blue jersey owing to his outstanding all-round performance in the recently concluded Indian Premier League. Hardik Pandya took Gujarat Titans to the IPL title in his debut season as a captain.

Indian selectors were highly impressed with Hardik's performance as they named him skipper for the Ireland tour.

Highly impressed with Hardik's recent resurgence on the international stage, former Indian wicketkeeper-batsman Kiran More recently revealed that the all-rounder started as a batsman leg-spinner and used to bowl at 135-140 kph, which used to surprise everyone.

While speaking on docuseries 'Architects in White,' Kiran More said, "He started as a leg-spinner but used to bowl pretty fast. We all were surprised and amused to see his abilities. He was unplayable in the nets and a surprise for everyone. Who is this spinner, bowling at 135-140 kph - was the question on everyone's mind. His aim used to be bowling quicker and quicker."

Hardik Pandya has picked 116 wickets for India across all formats, including 42 in T20Is. Pandya's dual ability to bowl and bat at the death has already made him a strong contender for the upcoming T20I World Cup 2022, which is scheduled for later this year in Australia.
