Things are going downhill for Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya with each passing day. While his back injury sees him struggle to date, his recent lack of form is just another problem the player has been fighting with. The matter grew worse for Hardik after he failed to perform at the recently-concluded T20 World Cup and came under the radar of critics.
The sequence of events saw Hardik getting rested for the upcoming T20I series of India which will be played against New Zealand. Just when it seemed that this could be the worst that could happen with the player, Hardik has dealt another blow. According to ABP Live, the all-rounder, while returning from UAE following Team India’s flop campaign at the world event, was caught by the customs department on arrival for carrying two watches worth INR 5 crore. The report claims that Hardik neither had the invoice of the products he was carrying nor did he declared them as customs items. The consequences saw the two watches of Hardik getting seized by the customs officials.
Hardik and his love for watches
It is worth noting that this is not the first time that Hardik has hogged the limelight for his watches. In August this year, the player had shared a post on social media boasting his lavish life. In the series of pictures, Hardik was seen sitting in a Rolls Royce. Meanwhile, he had also shared a picture of the wristwatch he was wearing. The timepiece was a Patek Phillippe Nautilus Platinum 5711 and its cost was estimated to be around INR 5 crores.
However, this was not the only instance when Hardik showed his love for watches. Two years back in 2019, the player had shared an image of his on social media after undergoing successful back surgery. What caught everyone’s attention was the way costly timepiece he was wearing despite being on the hospital bed.
Surgery done successfully 🥳

Given, he has not been selected for the New Zealand series, Hardik has a good time to recover and prepare himself for the upcoming games of India.
