RCB convincingly defeated RR by 7 wickets with the help of good bowling performances from Yuzvendra Chahal, Shahbaz Ahmed and great last over bowling from Harshal Patel. RR initially started off well in the 1st innings with help of Evin Lewis attacking half-century. However, post that initial blistering opening partnership, rest of the Rajasthan batsmen failed and ended up collapsing for a total of just 149.
RCB in chase started off with good intent in the powerplay and later Srikar Bharat-Glenn Maxwell partnership ensured RCB chase this total convincingly with 17 balls to spare. Glenn Maxwell recorded his 4th fifty-plus score in IPL 2021 and his instrumental knock of 50 runs played a key role for his side to cross that winning line.
