Indian men’s cricket team captain Rohit Sharma on Monday shared a picture for Independence Day post as India celebrated its 76th Independence Day. Although the cricketer’s post received a lot of love and adoration for his tweet, like everything on the internet these days, this post too was subjected to some trolling.

Rohit Sharma kept things simple and straightforward, like his pre and post-match interviews as was dressed in traditional attire, held the Indian tricolour and captioned his photo saying: “75 years of independence. स्वतंत्रता दिवस की हार्दिक शुभकामनाएं".

Neither did Rohit get the years of independence wrong nor did he inaccurately wish his fans “Happy Republic Day," but may have had a silly and common goof up. The flag in the picture uploaded by Sharma was apparently photoshopped and hence was called out by the users on Twitter.
