Gujarat Titans management will be scratching their heads for keeping Vijay Shankar in the XI against Chennai Super Kings (CSK). Roped in to play as a specialist batter, Shankar has failed to capitalize on the chances he has got this season. The Gujarat Titans all-rounder has scored 0, 2, 13, 4 in the four matches he has played this season.

Shankar failed to score big once again in an important chase against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on Sunday evening. He departed for a 2-ball duck. The right-handed batter was dismissed caught behind on the bowling of Maheesh Theekshana as he went chasing after a wide delivery. This shot from Shankar was not appreciated at all by Twitter users.

The fans on social media platforms brutally trolled Shankar for his repetitive failures. "Have a lot of sympathy for Vijay Shankar but my god I haven't seen someone so consistently poor over many years. I honestly can't remember a single game where he has batted or bowled well. I feel bad for the others losing out on opportunities. Hope he can turn it around," wrote one of the users.
