Former India cricketer Sunil Gavaskar has a high repute as a cricketer. While he has been covering the game for several decades now after his stint as an international cricketer come to an end, his comments have got him into trouble in the past. And it could well land him in a similar situation with his latest remark when Rajasthan Royals batter Shimron Hetmyer came out to bat in the match against Chennai Super Kings at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai.
Gavaskar said: “Hetmyer’s wife has delivered, will he deliver for the Royals” which was followed by laughter in the commentary box. The comment has not gone down too well with users on social media with some even demanding his exit from the commentary box.
