What did the winning captains say?

LSG captain KL Rahul was elated with this victory and his hundred against Mumbai. He said, “Yeah, special day, special hundred, was a good pitch and wanted to make it count. Got a few boundaries away early, haven't got the amount of runs that I'd have wanted, haven't got the team to the kind of start that I wanted, wanted to cash in on this good pitch. Day games are a bit different, but dew does play a factor in the night games, it's unpredictable as well. We have defended really well, the bowlers have really come to the game, that's something we can take forward going ahead.”

“Bowling first, we'll have a clear plan, that's something we can take away from bowling first. At times, we have lost a couple of wickets and it's hard to come back, but we have done so at times, and that's something which bodes well going ahead. At times, we haven't done well in the power plays, it's important to either start well or target opposition batters with the ball. I don't look at oppositions differently”, he added.

“MI are a champion franchise, they're always competitive, I love the challenge of playing against different oppositions, yes, I have done well against them, but I always try and do well against every other franchise, I don't want to get too carried away and stay with the moment. We have played good cricket, nothing to take away from the other teams, we need to keep our feet on the ground and stay humble, keep learning”, KL said.

RCB captain Faf du Plessis was extremely happy with the team as they registered an incredible win over Delhi. He said, “I think it is important from the top-order perspective. Batting again was a little tricky. But Maxi put the pressure back on them. But then two guys in form did well for us. Today was a bit about some planning. We haven't been as good as we would have wanted at the death. The bowlers were fantastic today.”

“Most teams can fall away quickly seeing so much of dew. But we stuck to our plans. Nice thing to have experience. When it is going well or not, you can reinforce the trust. DK is in the form of his life. Obviously lucky to have him in our side. I would like to have guys tell me before the game if there would be dew or not. Maybe on tired wickets, we will bat first. Just one game at a time. It is important to stay calm and composed”, Faf added.
