IPL 2022 will have two new teams coming in, one from Ahmedabad and one from Lucknow. However, the names of these two teams have not been announced yet and the Lucknow-based franchise has come up with an idea for the same. The RP Sanjeev Goenka-owned franchise has started a Lucknow Team Name Suggestion contest and asked people to suggest a name for the team.
For those who don't know, Sanjeev Goenka had a team in the IPL with the name of Rising Pune Super Giants (RPSG) for which MS Dhoni played for two seasons. Then the name was pre-decided but this time the team owners want the fans to suggest the name they want their team to be called as.
The Name Suggestion Contest is live on the team's website and anyone, with or without a name in their heads, can participate in it. However, the steps to participate for the two types of people are different.
Here is how one can participate in the Lucknow Team Name Suggestion contest (with already a name in their head):
Step 1: Visit the Lucknow team's official website. The homepage has the live contest and users can start the process by clicking on the suggest button.
Step 2: After clicking on the Suggest button, choose 'Have a name already' option from the two available options.
Step 3: A new page will open asking for the user's name and their Email-id. Enter the details and click on the Continue button.
Step 4: On the next page, Enter the decided name in the 'Type a team name' box. Click on 'Create Team Name' after entering the details.
Step 5: A logo with the suggested team name will appear which can be downloaded for sharing.
Here is how one can participate in the Lucknow Team Name Suggestion contest (without already a name in their head):
Step 1: Visit the Lucknow team's official website. The homepage has the live contest and users can start the process by clicking on the suggest button.
Step 2: After clicking on the Suggest button, choose 'Let us inspire you' option from the two available options.
Step 3: A new page with four Theme options will appear. This page asks for the 'Theme' which will reflect in the team's name.
Step 4: The next step involves choosing a 'Collective' which means selecting an appropriate word that will reflect what the team is best at.
Step 5: The next step asks for an appropriate 'Adjective' that will describe your team.
Step 6: After choosing all the three options, a page asking for your name and email id will appear. Enter the details and click on 'Continue' button.
Step 7: The next page will show you a name that reflects all the three (Theme, Collective, Adjective) things. Also, a few other options will be there to choose from in case one doesn't like the suggested name.
Step 8: After one has chosen the name, the logo for the same can be downloaded for sharing.
