Red Bull’s Max Verstappen finished on top after the 2022 French Grand Prix as Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc crashed out of the race on Lap 18 and ended another race after starting on pole. The blunder helped the Mercedes duo of Lewis Hamilton and George Russell get a double podium at Paul Ricard.
The Prancing Horse got a consolation prize as Carlos Sainz bagged the fastest lap and finished fifth. The 2022 French GP marked Verstappen’s 27th career win. The race also saw Hamilton get his first second-place finish of the season in his 300th career GP. Similarly, Russell also closed the gap in the Drivers’ championship being behind Sainz for the fourth spot. Now Formula One turn moves to the Hungaroring as we head to the 2022 Hungarian Grand Prix.
