Rajasthan Royals came tantalisingly close to victory in their first match against the Punjab Kings on Monday only to lose the match by 4-runs. While Punjab had managed a mammoth 221 batting first, Rajasthan needed 5 to win from the last ball which was caught a few yards inside boundary rope.

Despite the loss, there were lots of positives for the Men in Pink and captain Sanju Samson’s innings as well as Riyan Parag’s performance with the bat and ball were huge take aways other than the impressive spell by debutant Chetan Sakariya.

Parag posts “Im shit”

Parag  had a rather good outing on the field. Not only he dismissed Chris Gayle with the ball in hand, he even looked in sublime touch with the bat, scoring a 11-ball 25. However, not being able to take his team over the line was possibly haunting the youngster as he made a late night post only to delete it later.

Parag sent out a tweet saying “Im shit.” Soon after the post went viral and the youngster deleted it later. The 19-year-old received plenty of consolatory messages on his tweet with people applauding him for his effort and suggesting that he has a bright future ahead of him.
