Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry took a playful jibe at the Boston Celtics' Grant Williams during his ESPYs monologue on Wednesday night. The 2022 ESPY awards kicked off on July 20 and honored the sports persons of the year at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.

On Wednesday morning, Grant Williams of Boston Celtics, who lost the NBA Finals 2022 against the Golden State Warriors, asserted they were the better side but GSW were more disciplined. "I still will say confidently to this day, they weren't the better team. They were the more disciplined team," he said.

Stephen Curry was hosting the 2022 ESPY awards when he spotted his counterpart Grant Williams in the crowd and mocked the 6'6" power forward in a funny way which is considered as the response to Williams' morning comments over GSW.

Steph said, "It's great to see you again my man. I know you like this color, I'll let you borrow it after I'm done. I might even let you wear a ring."

Further, the NBA 2022 Finals MVP took a jibe at the Los Angeles Rams and Lakers for bringing in veteran players to win championships.

In the 2022 ESPY awards, GSW guard Klay Thompson was named the best comeback athlete for the 2022 season, while his teammate Steph Curry received award for the best record-breaking performance as he broke Ray Allen's all-time three-point record earlier this season.

Steph was also named the best NBA player and Chicago Sky's Candace Parker won the award for the best WNBA player of the year.
