There is good news that has come for Chennai Super Kings and MS Dhoni fans ahead of their final game in IPL 2022. The skipper of Yellow Army is set to continue his duty next year as well and will lead the Chennai side in the hope of the 5th title. After winning the toss against Rajasthan Royals in their final league match, MS Dhoni confirmed that he will play in the next edition of the IPL and will likely lead the side.
However, Dhoni also said that he isn’t sure about his availability in the 2024 edition.
“I will be playing next year, but will that be the last year that I am not sure”, the CSK skipper said after winning the toss.
CSK opt to bat against RR
Meanwhile, CSK would be hoping to bid adieu to this season with a win in their final league game. The Men in Yellow had a disappointing season, winning just 4 in 13 matches. The team also had to go through some controversies after Ravindra Jadeja was removed from captaincy midway through the season. The all-rounder then sustained a rib injury and was ruled out of the tournament.
Ambati Rayudu also was in the spotlight after he announced his retirement from IPL but then later deleted the tweet. CSK management later confirmed that the CSK batter is not retiring and will continue to play.
