Former England international cricketer Monty Panesar has been in sublime form lately. The 38-year-old had an impressive spell on March 9 (Tuesday), playing against India Legends in the Road Safety World Series in Raipur. The left-arm spinner returned figures of 3/15, dismissing Sachin Tendulkar, Mohammed Kaif and Yuvraj Singh.

Former South Africa cricketer Alviro Petersen took to Twitter post the thrilling match between India Legends and England Legends and urged clubs to pick Monty Panesar for county cricket in England.

In reply to this Monty Panesar wrote, “I would like to make a comeback in Cricket”. He also showed keen interest in finding a team for himself to play County cricket.

Notably, Monty Panesar’s maiden international wicket was that of cricket great Sachin Tendulkar and even after retirement he continued his run, taking Tendulkar’s wicket in the Road Safety World Series on Tuesday, March 9. The England spinner has 167 wickets in Test cricket to his name in 50 appearances for the national side.
