Women's World Cup 2022 is set to begin on March 4 with home team New Zealand facing West indies in the opening encounter. Meanwhile, India will be playing their first game against arch rivals Pakistan on March 6 at Mt. Maunganui (at 6:30 AM IST). Although India Women's team are coming into this World Cup after losing the ODI series 1-4 against New Zealand, they still performed very well in the recent ICC events. India ended up being runners-up in both 2020 ICC Women's T20 World Cup and 2017 ICC Women's World Cup. Unfortunately, India women's team ended up losing to England Women by a margin of just 9 runs.
