Rajasthan Royals batter Shimron Hetmyer has returned to the team’s camp in Mumbai after the birth of his first child. The 2008 champions had posted a tweet asking where the West Indian all-rounder was and wrote, “Gulaabi baalo wale Hettie, laut aao.” To which Hetmyer replied, “Idhar hi hoon.”

The West Indian power-hitter has been pivotal for the Royals this season as he has been the team’s designated finisher. He has scored 291 runs in 11 games while averaging 72.75 with a strike rate of 166.29. His last match for Rajasthan was against Punjab Kings where he scored 31 in 16 balls to seal the win.

Similarly, RR welcome Hetmyer after defeating the Lucknow Super Giants by 24 runs. The victory was led by their bowlers who restricted LSG to 158 in 20 overs. Trent Boult won the player of the match award for his spell of two wickets in four overs while giving away just 18 runs.

“I am enjoying here at a new franchise. A great opportunity,” Boult

Boult was elated with his performance and said, “Some days are better than others. Nice to get wickets at the top. I have got a simple game with the ball. Good catch from Neesham. The boys did talk about some intensity as this was a crucial game for us.”

“I am surprised that I am talking about my batting in a press conference. We can bring our right attitude and chase a ball. I think this is a tough place to bowl. I am enjoying here at a new franchise. A great opportunity”, Boult concluded.

“We have a quality bowling lineup to defend,” Samson

Rajasthan captain Sanju Samson also complimented the team’s performance as they reach the brink of playoff qualification. He said, “We have been taking some good decisions. It is very hard to maintain a chilled out atmosphere when things don’t go your way. Credit to the boys. You keep on losing here and there. We want to go out there and express ourselves as a batting unit. We have a quality bowling lineup to defend.”

“Last game also, Ashwin did well. Sometimes you take decisions and look bad when you lose. We can control the intensity. Neesham brought some amazing energy onto the field. There is some bonus for having some quality spinners. We can use them any time”, he added.
