Former Indian cricketer Harbhajan Singh during the match between Chennai Super Kings and Royal Challengers Bangalore said that if his wearing yellow will change CSK's fortune, he will wear the colour in every CSK game. Notably, the former CSK player was wearing a yellow suit while doing Hindi commentary of the game.
"If CSK wins because of me wearing yellow, then I will always wear yellow in CSK games", said Harbhajan Singh with joy.
Notably, Harbhajan's yellow suit did change the fortunes of the side as CSK register their first win of IPL 2022. On the back of Shivam Dube (95*) and Robin Uthappa's (88) brilliant knock, CSK posted a mammoth total of 216 onboard. In reply, RCB could manage to score 193 runs and fell short by 23 runs.
Harbhajan Singh takes a dig at MS Dhoni
Although Bhajji showed his support for his former franchise, the off-spinner was in the news earlier in the day for comment on MS Dhoni. Harbhajan, who was part of 2011 World Cup-winning team, expressed his displeasure with MS Dhoni getting credit for the win.
Notably, then skipper Dhoni was the star of the World Cup final as his unbeaten knock of 91 helped India seal the World Cup after 28 years.
However, Bhajji expressed his disappointment and claimed that other team members deserve the same credit.
"When Australia wins the World Cup at that time everyone says ‘Australia won the World Cup’. When India wins the World Cup at that time, everyone said, ‘MS Dhoni won the World Cup. Toh baaki ke 10 waha lassi peene gaye the?,” said Harbhajan while speaking on Star Sports.
“What did the other 10 players do? What did Gautam Gambhir do? What did the others do? It’s a team game. When 7-8 players play well only then only your team will progress," Harbhajan added.
