With dew set to play a significant role in the India-New Zealand Super 12 match of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup at the Dubai International Stadium, the toss was always going to be a crucial one. While millions of India fans were hoping for captain Virat Kohli to win the toss, Kohli has lost yet another one of them. Earlier, Kohli had even lost the toss at the same venue in the match against Pakistan and the Men in Blue had fallen to a 10-wicket defeat in that fixture.

While New Zealand are coming on the back of a defeat against Pakistan after losing the toss, the team batting second has won more of the matches in this tournament with a few exceptions. The way Group 2 looks so far, it appears that the winner of this side will join Pakistan in the semifinal lineup as the Men in Green have more or less sealed a place for themselves in the final four by stitching three wins.

All of this had made the toss a significant one but as Kohli flicked the coin, New Zealand captain Kane Williamson called it right and without any hesitation opted to bowl first. Kohli also said that while they would have liked to bowl first themselves, now they would want to put a big score on the board.

Overall in international cricket, Kohli has captained in 207 matches and has lost a staggering 121 one of them including the ongoing India-New Zealand. India have made two changes to their Playing XI in this match with Ishan Kishan coming in for Suryakumar Yadav and Shardul Thakur replacing Bhuvneshwar Kumar.

Meanwhile, New Zealand have also made a change to their team with Adam Milne coming in for Tim Seifert and Devon Conway keeping wickets.
