Golden State Warriors faced a stunning defeat against Denver Nuggets in Game 4 of their first-round playoff series. Stephen Curry scored his second 30 points game of the series on Sunday as he added 33 points and made eight assists but still could not restrict Nuggets from pulling off a thrilling 126-121 victory in Denver on Sunday. Notably, it was a fourth straight game where Curry came off the bench for the Warriors following his return from a leg injury.

Speaking to the media after the game, Curry said that he felt good about his health and that things were progressing in the right direction for him. The eight-time All-Star said, “Felt great to finish the third quarter and play the whole fourth quarter and not get fatigued. I’m excited about where I’m at. Looking forward to the next game.” Curry didn’t shy away from confessing that the score line was a reflection of how one cannot take things for granted at this stage.

He said, “It’s a reminder of how hard it is to win at this level, the importance of every possession and the things that you can control if you’re trying to get to where you want to go. You’ll get exposed if you don’t, no matter who you’re playing against.”

The top-notch player also said that such unlikely results are a good test for the team and said that the Warriors had a chance to win the game when they took the lead 121-119 with a minute left, but ‘then obviously they come away with the win tonight.’ The Golden State Warriors got off to an extremely slow start in Game 4. They trailed by 17 points (23-40) early in the second quarter and 11 at the half (52-63).

However, the Warriors made an impressive comeback as they outscored their opponents 69-56 up until the final minute-and-a-half. The Denver Nuggets then scored seven straight points over the last 90 seconds to seal the game. Stephen Curry also hailed Golden State’s better team play over the final two quarters, saying it was a “miracle” to take the lead given their subpar start.
