Prior to India's white-ball fixtures against Sri Lanka, leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal has said that it is not possible for any player in the world to perform in every match. He added that he is not too concerned about his form but identified this series as a "very important" one for himself with his eyes on the T20 World Cup later this year.

Chahal also spoke highly of coach Rahul Dravid, adding that he has only told him to do what he wants to do as a bowler and how the former India skipper termed him as an experienced spinner on the tour who could mentor some of the younger players.

Don't think my form has dipped: Chahal

"He (Dravid) always guided me especially with my bowling and I always talk to him even the other stuff too. He always told me do whatever you want to do. You are here, you are the senior spinner here and I just want you to focus..," he said while interacting with the press.

"About my performance, I don't think, it's dip or anything. You can't perform in every match," he added.

Meanwhile, it is being learned that Sri Lanka coach Grant Flower has tested positive for COVID-19 days before the start of the ODI series. It should be noted that Flower arrived with the Sri Lankan cricketers few days ago from England and is currently undergoing quarantine at the Sri Lankan team hotel. However, the series is currently scheduled to go ahead as planned.
