India after being forced to bat posted a competitive total of 185/8 and ended up winning the thriller in the last over by a margin of 8 runs and kept the series alive by keeping it intact on 2-2. Ben Stokes and Jonny Bairstow partnership looked much threatening and game was slipping out of team India's hands, however, Shardul Thakur picked two wickets in two consecutive balls during 17th over and helped the team secure a crucial win.

4 - For a 4th time in a row in this T20I series, England bowled a wicket-maiden over against India. Starting from Jofra Archer, Sam Curran, Chris Jordan today now Adil Rashid also bowled a wicket-maiden over in this T20I series against India.

16 - Hardik Pandya bowled the most economical spell in his T20I career by conceding just 16 runs off 4 overs he bowled. His previous economical spell was 1/22 vs SA in 2018.

3 - Rohit Sharma became only the 3rd player to complete 50 T20I sixes in home ground alone after Martin Guptill and Colin Munro.
