India made a terrific comeback on Day-3 of the first Test match after being outplayed by New Zealand on the previous day. Axar Patel’s five-wicket haul and Ravichandran Ashwin’s brilliant spell helped India take a lead of 49 runs in the 1st innings. New Zealand from 197/1 got bundled out for 296 runs and before the end of the day, India batted just 5 overs in the 2nd innings and scored 14 runs for the loss of 1 wicket. Kyle Jamieson impressed once again by picking the early wicket of Shubman Gill and ended up picking 50 Test wickets in his career as well.
