New Zealand started the 4th day of 1st Test match very well by reducing India for 51/5 in around 20 overs but later Shreyas Iyer played an amazing knock to ensure India stay on top. Wriddhiman Saha and Ravichandran Ashwin also played a very good hand with the bat which helped India to set a competitive target of 284 runs for New Zealand. Tim Southee and Kyle Jamieson picked 3 wickets each and changed the complexion of the game for New Zealand initially, while Ajaz Patel dismissed Indian Skipper Rahane for just 4 runs. New Zealand played just 4 overs in their 2nd innings and scored 4/1 at end of the day.
