Despite smashing 211/4 in their 20 overs, Team India lost the 1st T20I match to South Africa by 7 wickets as David Miller and Rassie van der Dussen stunned the hosts with incredible knocks. Earlier, a solid knock off 76 from Ishan Kishan and quick cameos from Skipper Rishabh Pant and all-rounder Hardik Pandya ensured India post a big total off 211 runs on board.
South Africa initially struggled against the slow deliveries from Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Harshal Patel. SA needed 126 in last 10 overs to win when David Miller took charge of the chase and changed the complexion of game totally in favour of SA, while Rassie van der Dussen who was struggling in the crease for initial 30-32 balls went bonkers in Harshal Patel's 17th over and helped them to chase down the target.
