If there is one cricket rivalry every cricket fan is eager to watch, it has to be India vs Pakistan. The two neighboring countries share a great history both on and off the field and that’s the reason fans love watching them play against each other. However, with the two teams not playing a bilateral series for the past few years, they lock horns only in ICC events or some other multi-nation tournament like Asia Cup.
More than the cricketers, it is the fans that keep the rivalry alive even if there is no match being played between the two teams. The fans don’t let go of any chance to show their team superior to the other. However, a recent picture involving the two teams’ fans has gone viral for completely opposite reasons.
In a picture going viral on social media, two individuals are seen sitting adjacent to each other while watching the 3rd ODI between England and the Netherlands. The two men in the picture are also seen holding flags of their respective countries- India and Pakistan. Also, they are not just sitting quietly but are seen visibly talking to each other. This wholesome moment was shared by a Pakistan journalist with the caption “Pakistan and India fans at the Netherlands versus England match”.
This viral picture got a lot of love from the fans. However, there were also a few sarcastic comments. One of which read “What happened there ? got the date and venue mixed up”.
Well, these two might have got the date and venue mixed up, the remaining fans have the big date already printed on the back of their heads. 24 October 2022 is the date every India and Pakistan fan is waiting for. This will be the day the two teams will square off against each other in the Group stage fixture of the 2022 T20 World Cup. The two teams may get to face each other before that as well, in the Asia Cup that is to be played in August-September.
