India is currently playing against England in third of four-match Test series at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. On this occasion, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) invited honourable Indian President Ram Nath Kovind, Home Minister Amit Shah, and several other dignitaries from parts of India. Before the start of the game, Home Minister Amit Shah delivered a speech and addressed a lot many subjects. The Home Minister gave special mention to former Indian cricketers who have time and again produced exceptional performances for the country.

In the speech during the inaugural, at the world's largest cricket stadium - Amit Shah incorrectly pronounced India's greatest ever player Sachin Tendulkar as "Soochin Tendulkar". India's Home Minister was mentioning about the laurels Sachin Tendulkar has brought to the country and also talked about his performances at then Sardar Patel Stadium. He said, "On this venue Sachin Tendulkar completed 18,000 International runs while playing against England in 2011 World Cup".

Interestingly, former United States President, Donald Trump on same day last year at the same venue stumbled over Sachin Tendulkar's name. In the speech during the rally with the prime minister, Narendra Modi, at the Sardar Patel Stadium Trump incorrectly pronounced the name of India’s greatest ever player as “Soo-chin Tendul-kerr”.
