It seems to be a jam-packed season for the Afghanistan cricket team as the board announced the schedule for the 2022-23 on Monday. The 2022-23 schedule includes Afghanistan playing 11 ODIs, four T20Is and two Test series . The year 2022 will begin with Afghanistan taking on Netherlands for a three-match ODI series at home, followed by three-match ODI and five match T20I away series against Zimbabwe.

Afghanistan will also play against Bangladesh, India, Australia before the ACC Asia Cup and the ICC T20 World Cup next year. The team will continue to tour in 2022 and will only host two countries. It is also being learnt that the ACB has clearly focused on shorter formats of the game over Test cricket.

However, the Afghanistan Cricket Board has given its confirmation on the same, the dates of the series are yet to be finalised.

Afghanistan will also host Australia after the T20 champions cancelled their one-off Test in November this year due to the political disturbance in the country. However, if Afghanistan's three-match T20I series in 2022 and three-match ODI series in 2023 continues, it will just be a development and achievement for ACB.
