According to reports, the India men’s team will tour the Caribbean for a limited-overs series in July-August. Notably, the tour is said to include three One-Day Internationals and five Twenty20 Internationals.

The Men in Blue hosted the West Indies in a six-game limited series in February 2022. The tour included three ODIs which were played at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad and three T20Is at the Eden Gardens, Kolkata. India won both series, whitewashing the Men in Maroon 3-0. Pacer Prashid Krishna won the Player of the Series award in the ODIs for his nine wickets, while Mumbai batter Suryakumar Yadav won the Player of Series award in the T20Is with 107 runs with a strike rate of 194.5.

The last time Team India travelled to the West Indies was in 2019 for an eight-game series. The tour included three One-Day Internationals, three Twenty20 internationals and two Test matches. India won all three tournaments without losing a single game. Virat Kohli won the Player of the Series award in the ODI series and Krunal Pandya won the Player of the Series award in the T20s.

India host South Africa

Reports also suggest the Men in Blue will host South Africa in a five-game T20I series starting from 9 June to 19 June after the Indian Premier League. The Indian team travelled to South Africa in December 2021. The Proteas convincingly defeated the Men in Blue, in both, the Test and One-day International series.

South Africa won the Test series 2-1 while whitewashed the visitors 3-0 in the ODI tournament. Keegan Petersen won the Player of the series in Tests and Quinton de Kock won the Player of the Series award in the 50-over series.
