Indian batter KL Rahul is set to leave for England on 16 June to continue his rehab from a right groin injury before the final Test match against England as per sources. The five-day game will start on 1 July followed by white-ball series which included three ODIs and three T20Is.

As reported by InsideSport, a senior BCCI official said, “We will get a full picture when he checks in at the NCA. He will do that in a day or two. But as per the team physio, it’s not very serious in nature. We are making arrangements to send him to the UK with the first batch to complete his recovery there.”

We know so far is that the injury is not very serious: BCCI official

KL Rahul will leave for England with the first group of players but if the arrangements aren’t made in time,  he will leave with the second group and continue recovery there. “He should be available for the Test in England but it’s too early to say anything.”

“What we know so far is that the injury is not very serious but he was withdrawn from the South Africa series as a precaution,” the BCCI official said.  India is set to play a warm-up match against Leicestershire starting on 24 June for which Rahul’s availability is doubtful.
