Karnataka cricketer Shreyas Gopal married his long-time girlfriend Nikitha Shiv on Wednesday. He took to social media to share a few pictures from their wedding ceremony. The couple had got engaged in August this year. The 28-year-old all-rounder has represented Mumbai Indians in the past and was part of the Rajasthan Royals squad in IPL 2021. "24.11.2021 ❤️," he captioned the post.
Gopal has played 48 IPL games so far and has taken as many wickets along with scoring 171 runs. In IPL 2021, he featured in 3 matches of the Men in Pink and did not manage to pick even a single wicket, only scoring 7 runs. Two of his three games in IPL 2021 came in the Indian half of the tournament before the tournament was suspended indefinitely owing to the Coronavirus pandemic. He got only one match after the tournament resumed in the United Arab Emirates in September-October.

Rajasthan yet again could not secure a place in the final four this year and would be looking to rebuild their team with the mega auction ahead of 2022 season and after failing to win the title or coming close year after year since the inaugural season in 2008 when the Shane Warne-led RR had lifted the trophy.
Ahead of the auctions though teams have been asked to submit their retention bids before November 30 and it would be interesting to see which players Rajasthan decides to go ahead with.
Sanju Samson, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Jos Buttler and Ben Stokes could be their best bet and this season they surely did miss the absence of both Buttler and Stokes. In addition, they would also want to identify the loopholes in their side and identify the players they would want to target at the auction pool.
Among other franchises, it is being learned that KL Rahul is likely to part ways with Punjab Kings after having accepted an offer from the Lucknow franchise to lead the team in the next season. For the unversed, two more teams will be joining in the most lucrative T20 league in the world and they are none other than Lucknow and Ahmedabad.
