In a recent development, it is being reported that a nine-member women’s Recurve Team has left for Pairs to feature in the Final Qualification tournament for the Tokyo Olympics to be held from June 17 to 19 and the World Cup Stage 3 from June 20 to 28.

The team includes players like Deepika Kumari, Komalika Bari, Ankita Bhakat, and Madhu Wedwan along with Dronacharya Awardee Purnima Mahato.

Meanwhile, the men's recurve team which features archers like Atanu Das, Tarundeep Rai, and Pravin Ramesh Jadhav and which brought home the team silver medal after an excellent performance in the World Championship in the Netherland are also set off for Paris to take part in the World Cup event.

Recently, Indian archers Deepika Kumari, Atanu Das, Ankita Bhakat, and Komalika Bari had put up a great show during the Archery World Cup (Stage-I) in Gautemala as Deepika Kumari and Atanu Das won the gold medal in their respective categories.

The archers have their eyes on the forthcoming summer Olympics scheduled to happen from July 23 to August 8 in Tokyo.
