Goa have climbed back into the top-four with the resounding win over Odisha. The Gaurs took the lead through Alberto Noguera before Jorge Ortiz doubled the advantage. Diego Mauricio then pulled one back to spark hopes of a comeback for Odisha before the interval. However, Ivan Gonzalez put the game to bed in the second half to ensure maximum points for the Gaurs.

However, Odisha have pulled one back through Diego Mauricio to stay alive in the game at the interval. The Gaurs will need to work hard if they are to come away with maximum points and end a run of six straight draws.

[42′] NO PENALTY! – Despite initially blowing the whistle for a penalty in favour of Goa, the referee has overturned his decision after consulting the linesman. Good decision, the contact made by Rakesh Pradhan on Igor Angulo was outside the box and it is a free-kick to Goa.

[36′] SHOT SAVED! – Manuel Onwu sends in a good cross from the left flank and Ivan Gonzalez has sliced his clearance to Daniel Lalhlimpuia. The Odisha striker quickly gets a powerful shot away, but it is straight at Dheeraj, who smothers the ball with ease to snuff out danger for Goa.

[30′] GOOOOAAAL, MAURICIO PULLS ONE BACK! – Daniel Lalhlimpuia sends in a threatening ball from the left flank for Odisha and Dheeraj makes an absolute mess of dealing with it. Diego Mauricio sneaks in behind the Goa shot-stopper and stabs it home from close range to halve the deficit for Odisha. 2-1

[26′] GOOOOOAAAL, WHAT A FINISH! – Goa have doubled the advantage through a quick counter-attack. Saviour Gama pounces on the loose ball after an Odisha corner is cleared away and releases Jorge Ortiz, who made an excellent run with the perfect through ball. The forward is one-on-one with Arshdeep Singh and tucks the opportunity away with a delightful dink over the Odisha shot-stopper. 2-0

[18′] GOOOOOAAAL, GOA IN THE LEAD!Ivan Gonzalez overlaps on the left flank and whips in an inch-perfect cross into the six-yard box inside Odisha’s penalty area. Alberto Noguera arrives on the scene with an excellent run from midfield and has planted his header past Arshdeep Singh, who got a hand to it but failed to keep it out. The huge spells of possession finally pay off for Goa. 1-0

[8′] SHOT OVER THE BAR! – Odisha give the ball away cheaply and Goa quickly nudge it towards Alberto Noguera. The Spaniard picks the ball up and turns just outside the penalty area before audaciously attempting to go for goal from distance. Odisha breathe a sigh of relief as the attempt flies well over the cross-bar.

[4′] GOOD SAVE! – Goa build patiently after dominating possession in these early exchanges. The ball is fed towards Alberto Noguera from the byline and the midfielder fires a shot on goal from close range. However, Odisha custodian Arshdeep Singh is equal to the task and pushes it away.

FC Goa will take on Odisha FC at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Fatorda, Goa. Goa would definitely hope to win this game and further strengthen their chances for Semi Finals as they already are in the top 4. Odisha on the other hasn’t had a great season so far as they’ve managed to win just 1 game in 17 matches that they have played so far and would hope to cause a big upset by defeating Goa and denting their Semi Final chances.
