Preview: Bangalore will aim to bounce back from their embarrassing defeat to Kolkata as they take on Chennai in match 35 of the ongoing Indian T20 League on Saturday at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium. Bangalore and Chennai currently sit at 3rd and 2nd positions respectively in the points table. However, both the teams have had contrasting start to the second half of the season. Chennai will look to continue their winning momentum while Bangalore will hope to make a strong comeback.

The two teams have already met once this season in April and at that time it was the MS Dhoni-led side that emerged victorious. Chennai had posted a formidable target of 191/4 thanks to superb batting from Ravindra Jadeja (62 off 28) and du Plessis (50 off 41). While chasing the target set by Chennai, Bangalore collapsed dramatically and could only reach 122/9 in 20 overs. Jadeja bowled superbly and scalped 3 wickets in a Man of the Match performance.

Position in the Indian T20 League standings:

Bangalore: Current position: 3rd (10 points in 8 matches)

Chennai: Current position: 2nd (12 points in 8 matches)
