Although it was far from being an ideal start to the season for Team India who lost the ICC World Test Championship final against New Zealand, the side has got a little break from their bio-bubble life after the summit clash. The team will now assemble a few weeks prior to the first Test match of the five-match series against England scheduled to commence on August 4 at Trent Bridge.

Although there were reservations about sending the team on a bubble break, especially, since the COVID-19 cases in the UK are yet again on the surge, a social media post from Rohit Sharma has confirmed that the players have left the bubble. The Hitman took to social media to share a picture of his wife and daughter at the backdrop of an amusement park.

While the three-format players are in the United Kingdom, a separate white-ball side, led by Shikhar Dhawan is currently under quarantine in India and is getting ready for a six-match tour of Sri Lanka in July. All six matches are set to be played at the R Premadasa Stadium, Colombo keeping in mind the risk of Coronavirus transmission while travelling. While there will be 3 ODIs, to begin with on July 13, they will be followed by 3 T20Is from July 21.

Meanwhile, the BCCI has also asked two Indian selectors Abey Kuruvilla and Debasis Mohanty to accompany the team and the fixtures will be closely monitored considering the T20 World Cup coming up later in the year.
