As the Indian Women's team are set to play their first-ever D/N Test match in Australia later this year, let us look back at some of their performances in the past and how well they have managed to do in this format. However, it should be noted that the Women's Test match was played only for 3 days in initial time but now has been extended to a 4-day Test match. This has been a major reason for most of the matches ending in a draw result.

Indian Women's team have played 36 Test matches and out which, 25 games ended in a draw.

1 - Before this, only one D/N Women's Test match was played between Australia and England Women in 2017. That 4-day Test match also ended in a draw.

3 - Indian Women's team have won their last three Test matches. The last time they lost a Test match was in 2006 against Australia.

Indian Women's team last three Test matches :

- Defeated South Africa Women by an innings and 34 runs in 2014, Mysore

- Defeated England Women by 6 wickets in 2014, Wormsley

- Defeated England Women by 5 wickets in 2006, Taunton

4 - Australian Women's team have won 4 of the 5 Test matches they played against the Indian women's team at home. Notably, Indian Women have played 9 Tests against Australia and they haven't won a single Test match so far.

7 - Indian Women's team last played a Test match in the year 2014, which was 7 years back. However, it is important to note that since 2015, only England Women and the Australian Women's team have played Test matches.

Two career-best individual records of Indian Women:

8 - Neetu David's 8/53 vs England Women is the best ever Test bowling figure for a Women's cricketer.

214 - Mithali Raj's 214 is the highest ever Test score by a Women's cricketer outside the home.
