Another ICC tournament, another disappointment, Despite consistently performing well in big events, Team India hasn't managed to cross the line in knockout stages. The last time India won a ICC trophy was 8 years back in 2013. Post that, India has found themselves losing matches in the Semi-Finals or Finals of ICC events.

A look at India's performance in ICC Knockout stages :

5 - India has lost 5 out of 10 ICC final events. Out of which, 2 of them came under Virat Kohli's captaincy.

The poor performances of big players in ICC knockouts have costed Team India in crunch situations.

15.75 - Virat Kohli has smashed just 63 runs in the last 3 ICC knockout matches he has played with average of just 15.75.

Virat Kohli's scores in last 3 ICC knockout games:

44 & 13 vs NZ in WTC'19-21 Finals
1 vs NZ in WC 2019 Semi-Finals
5 vs Pak in CT 2017 Finals

1 - Jasprit Bumrah has just picked 1 wicket in the last 3 ICC knockout matches that he has played.

Bumrah's poor spell in WTC'19-21 Finals (0/57 & 0/35) and CT'17 Finals (0/68 in 9 overs) has let Team India down on both occasions.

65 - Rohit Sharma, who was fantastic with the bat in WTC, 2019 WC & 2017 Champions Trophy, hasn't been impactful with the bat in those knockout games. He has managed to score only 65 runs in the last 3 ICC knockout games, where 64 of them came in WTC'19-21 final alone.

Rohit smashed 5 centuries in WC 2019 but was just dismissed for 1 run against New Zealand in the semi-final. Rohit Sharma smashed 304 runs in 4 matches of CT 2017 but he was dismissed for a duck in the CT 2017 Finals by Mohammad Amir.
