India’s tour of Sri Lanka to begin from July 13, match timings announced

The Men in Blue will fly to Sri Lanka on July 5 and will be undergoing hard quarantine before taking to the field.

India is all set to tour Sri Lanka in July this year after BCCI President Sourav Ganguly confirmed the news. Notably, the tour will begin with the ODI series, starting from July 13, followed by T20Is. However, the likes of Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma will be missing this series, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) will send a white-ball specialist squad.

Match timings for the Sri Lanka tour announced

After the BCCI announced the dates for the Sri Lanka series, the match timings have also been announced recently. The three-match ODI series which will take place from July 13 to July 19 will begin from 1:30 PM IST. However, the three T20Is will be played in the evening, starting 7:00 PM IST.

Notably, all the matches will be played in Colombo owing to the strict COVID-19 protocols and bio-bubble restriction. Lately, Sri Lankan Cricket Administrative Committee chairman (in Sportstar) confirmed that all the matches in the series between India vs Sri Lanka will be played without any crowd in the stadium.
