The new Punjab Kings jersey has received all sorts of responses from fans on social media. While many like the new bright colour, others have noticed that the new kit is similar to the Royal Challengers Bangalore’s old kit which they used in the early seasons. As soon as PBKS took the field on Monday, fans went berserk on Twitter. A few also took to social media to suggest that the new kit has been used so that Chris Gayle is back to his prime in RCB days.
Welcome to RCB boys: Chahal tags Gayle and Rahul
Amid the social media Tsunami, one from RCB leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal also went viral. Seeing the former RCB stars Chris Gayle and KL Rahul in red, Chahal took the opportunity to start some banter with them. “Welcome to the @RCBTweets boys @henrygayle @klrahul11,” he wrote. The post went viral on the internet but KL Rahul also came out with a witty response.
Wear your away jersey on the 30th: Rahul to Chahal
Responding to the leg-spinner’s comment, Punjab captain KL Rahul advised Yuzi to don the team’s away jersey on the 30th which is when Punjab Kings will be up against the RCB for the first time in this year’s IPL.

Both teams off to a winning start
Meanwhile, both teams have got off to a winning start in this year’s IPL. While RCB defeated MI by 2 wickets in their campaign opener, Punjab registered a 4-run win over RR in their first match. Both sides are yet to win an IPL trophy.
