Although Faf du Plessis hasn't found a place for himself in South Africa's squad for T20 World Cup 2021, his commitment towards his team in franchise cricket has been unwavering. While he is often ready to throw himself around to save every run for his team and even grabs jaw-dropping catches from time to time, another one of his selfless act has now put the limelight back on the former Proteas skipper.

Du Plessis, representing the Chennai Super Kings, was seen playing with a bleeding knee in the ongoing IPL 2021 match against the Kolkata Knight Riders at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi. The 37-year-old realised that the team banks on him to field at the hotspots and opted to not leave the field to attend to his knee.

Faf even grabbed a smart catch at the long-on fence during the match. Upon completing the catch, he realised that the boundary was right behind him so he popped the ball in the air went back to restore balance before coming inside to complete the catch.

Eoin Morgan's horror run continues

The CSK opener's effort brought an end to the KKR captain Eoin Morgan's innings - whose horror form continues in IPL.

The left-handed Englishman managed only 8 runs off 14 deliveries and was forced to go for the big hit after he had not scored a single boundary and the team was looking to get a move on approaching the back end.

Virat Kohli vs Rohit Sharma later in the evening

Post the ongoing match, there is yet another IPL contest scheduled on the day where Royal Challengers Bangalore and Mumbai Indians will be up against each other. Both teams are searching for their first win in the UAE-leg and after end of the play tonight, one team would have finally ended their losing streak. However, a defeat on Sunday would massively dent their chances of securing the Playoff stage.

While the Rohit Sharma-led side are looking to complete a hat-trick of titles, Virat Kohli is looking to end his reign as the skipper of Bangalore with at least a win to his credit. Kohli is also set to step down as the captain of the T20I side with probably the Hitman replacing him at the helm.
