RCB posted a decent total of 171/5 through the help of AB de Villiers' sensational knock of 75 runs from 42 balls, which included a 23 run over bowled by Marcus Stoinis in the 20th over of the RCB innings. While chasing this total, DC were in early trouble as they were reduced to 47/3 after 7.2 overs, but Shimron Hetmyer and Rishabh Pant stitched a partnership, which provided a boost for the team. In the end, Shimron Hetmyer's quick-fire fifty from just 23 balls almost won it for Delhi but unfortunately they ended up falling short by just 1 run.
