Former Australian and Chennai Super Kings all-rounder, Shane Watson wants his side to go out and clinch their 4th IPL title in 2021. Watson, who is not a part of the CSK squad now, retired from all the formats of the game in November 2020. Shane Watson had already ended his international career in March 2016 and ever since that has only been playing in overseas T20 leagues.

The former Australian all-rounder had anchored the title win for CSK in 2018, having performed significantly in the finals. He took to his Instagram account to back the MS Dhoni-led men to go in full force and restore their pride after the franchise's worst season in 2020.

Talking about the illustrious career in the IPL, Shane Watson started in 2008 with Rajasthan Royals, wherein he not only won the title but also won the Player of the Tournament Award. Watson got his hands on the IPL trophy in 2018, this time with CSK.

The 39-year-old played more than 140 games in his IPL stint for 3 franchises and had scored 3,879 runs at a strike rate of 137.91. He won his 2nd Player of the Tournament Award in the 2013 edition.

Meanwhile, Chennai Super Kings are all set to lock horns against the mighty finalists of the last edition, Delhi Capitals in their opening encounter. Given the franchise record on Indian soul, CSK can never be out listed as one of the favourites to go and win the tournament under the leadership of Mahendra Singh Dhoni.
