With IPL 2021 coming closer each day, fans are excited for the what is to follow this year. As per the latest reports, cluster-caravan format will be the way to go into the 14th edition. The change in format may get plaudits from some fans, while invite criticism from the others. However, this is not official yet, and only a speculation based on the reports from sources. IPL 2021 in cluster-caravan format

The format distributes teams into two groups and hosts the games at selected venues. Reports mention of six cities hosting the tournament this year. Notably, it will be first time that the event will be held in a unique manner. The tournament, in its history till now, never involved two clusters. Although, UAE edition of the tournament also limited number of venues, it will be a new concept in Indian environment. However, this time the format as well as the venues limitation will introduce a new concept to the viewers. Notably, the new format will be applicable considering the COVID-19 scare.

Apart from the new format, reports also mention about the tournament starting earlier this year. The tentative dates proposed have mentioned tournament to start by the second week of April. The speculated six cities comprise of - Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, Chennai, Kolkata, and Ahmedabad. Franchises are yet to react on these reports, but IPL truly never ceases to amaze the cricket enthusiasts.
