While the CVC Capital-owned franchise took a lot of time to decide on its official name, it did not take that much time in choosing its skipper. They have trusted the local boy, Hardik Pandya with the leadership role. Pandya has been signed by the franchise for a whopping 15 Crores. Apart from Hardik, Ahmedabad have chosen Rashid Khan (15 Crores) and Shubman Gill (7 Crores) as their two other draft picks. The other staff members were also announced long ago. Former India pacer Ashish Nehra has been appointed as the head coach of the team while Gary Kirsten, world cup winning coach for India, has been appointed as the mentor. Vikram Solanki is the Director of Cricket of Gujarat Titans.

Now, with all other formalities done, the team will try to focus on the mega event i.e. the IPL 2022 Mega Auction. Only three days are left before the event takes place in Bengaluru. Ahmedabad team management will be itching to take part in the auction as they look to build a complete squad that can do wonders for them in their first season.
