Prediction of the Game

0:

After facing defeats in their last three games, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) will be gutted to make a comeback when they face Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on Wednesday evening (4 May). However, the Faf du Plessis-led side will have their last league game against CSK playing on their minds. The defending champions had beaten RCB by 23 runs to register their first win of the season.

On the other hand, CSK have MS Dhoni back at the helm. And the veteran skipper won the very first game he captained. Although he did not take the credit for the win, CSK fans are not ready to accept that a change of leadership did not change fortunes for the four-time champions. CSK have bleak chances to qualify for the playoffs but they have pulled it off before and who knows perhaps they can do it this time as well.

But what do the odds say? Who is expected to seal key moments in the game? Let's find out

1. Toss Prediction

MS Dhoni has had a great record when it comes to winning the toss. However, Chennai have not had the luck this season. In the last five games, they have won only two tosses. On the other hand, RCB too have had some tough luck as they have won one out of the last five tosses. Considering du Plessis form and MS Dhoni's luck, CSK are expected to seal the first important moment in the game.

2. Win Possibility

Chennai are way ahead of Bangalore in terms of head-to-head record as they have won 19 out of 29 games. In IPL 2022 as well, CSK won the game against RCB. Also, CSK have won three out of their last five games while RCB have won only two out of their last five games. Considering the stats, CSK looks like the favorite to win Wednesday's clash.

3. Team of the day

Considering the recent form, CSK are the team of the day for Match 49 of IPL 2022.

4. Powerplay Score

The average powerplay score at the MCA Stadium in Pune has been 42. CSK have scored almost 41 runs in the first six overs while RCB have managed 40 in their first six overs. So, the powerplay score for both teams are expected to be over 40 runs.

5. Average first and second innings score

The average first innings score at MCA Stadium has been 173.2 while the average second innings score at the venue has been 158.6.
