The buzz around the Indian Premier League (IPL) this season seems unprecedented. This is due to a combination of many factors. Not only is the T20 competition returning to its home in India, but there are going to be ten teams this time around in the competition. Moreover, many new player-franchise partnerships will commence this season and so there is a lot to look forward to in IPL 2022.

One team that is surely starting a new chapter in their history is the Royal Challengers Bangalore. While the team has appointed Faf du Plessis as their captain prior to the start of the season, another player that is expected to come good in the side is Finn Allen.

The New Zealand cricketer is identified as one of the potential future superstars of the game. When Allen was recently asked about what would be the first thing he would do if he woke up as ex-India and RCB captain Virat Kohli, he gave an epic response that has gone viral. Allen said that he would want probably want to walk into the street to feel how it feels to have everyone chase after you.

Allen has just played 6 T20I matches so far and has managed to score 156 runs at a strike rate of 190.24. In overall 51 T20 games, the Kiwi youngster has 1537 runs to his credit at a splendid strike rate of 175.65. His T20 career includes 14 half-centuries including one at the international level.
