The Gujarat Titans (GT) had been terrific with their performances until they clashed with the underdog Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the Match 21 of the ongoing Indian Premier League 2022. The Titans batted first and posted a total of 162, with the highest contribution of 50* from the captain Hardik Pandya.

In response, SRH started cautiously but plundered boundaries from the fifth over of the innings, and maintained momentum at the end of the power-play. The spinner Rashid Khan provided the first breakthrough for the team in the form of Abhishek Sharma, who scored 42 off 32 balls.

In the 13th over of the innings, Williamson smashed two sixes on the consecutive balls to put pressure on the bowler Hardik Pandya. In the last ball of the over, Rahul Tripathi opened the face of the bat to steer the ball, but gave a catching opportunity to the deep third-man fielder, Mohammed Shami. But unfortunately, Shami could not give his whole-hearted effort, which left Pandya miffed who hurled out loud words and abused the fast bowler as well.

The anger of Pandya was due to the fact of Tripathi being one of the finest batters in the SRH line-up, who has been in good form in the tournament and has accumulated a total of 100 runs in 4 appearances. The cricket fans have slammed Pandya for his unruly behaviour towards the senior member of the side.

However, Tripathi was retired hurt in the next over itself, and Pooran came into the crease and provided a contribution of 34* off 18 balls, ending with a big six to secure a second victory for the SRH team in the tournament.
