Gujarat Titans led by Rashid Khan defeated Chennai Super Kings in a thrilling fashion by 3 wickets. CSK batting first posted a competitive total of 169/5 with the help of Ruturaj Gaikwad and Ambati Rayudu's 92-run partnership and good finishing touch from skipper Ravindra Jadeja in the end.

Gaikwad who was struggling in the first five games for CSK managed to score 73 runs from 48 balls meanwhile Rayudu on other end smashed 46 runs off 31 balls. Among Gujarat bowlers Shami looked very economical and also picked the key wicket of Uthappa initially while Alzarri Joseph took 2 wickets.

Gujarat chasing 170 runs had a very poor start by losing both Shubman Gill and Vijay Shankar for duck and at one stage they were reeling at 16/3 at the end of 4 overs. Maheesh Theekshana was brilliant with the ball and ended up with the bowling figures of 2/24 while Dwayne Bravo also was exceptional with the figures of 3/23 (also bowled a maiden over).

When it looked like an easy win for CSK, David Miller and Rashid Khan took the game deeply and chased at the end in some stylish fashion. Chris Jordan's 18th over to Rashid Khan ended up being the game changer as that 25-run over changed the momentum of the game totally to Gujarat side. Rashid Khan ended up scoring 40 runs from 21 balls while Miller registered unbeaten 94 runs in the chase.
