Preview
While Lucknow are coming into this game on the back of a win over SRH, Delhi had to face a defeat in their last game against Gujarat Titans. The Rishabh Pant-led side could not chase 172 and fell short of the target by 15 runs. The captain was the highest scorer for his team with his 29-ball 43. Delhi's batting lineup is looking slim without Warner. But thankfully for them, the stylish opener will be back for the Lucknow clash. On the other hand, Lucknow has done immensely well. Apart from KL Rahul, Deepak Hooda has emerged as a pillar of the team. He is holding the key to Lucknow's middle order now. Both teams have a good bowling attack, and this makes up for an interesting battle.

Lucknow have a top-heavy batting lineup with KL Rahul, Quinton de Kock, Evin Lewis, and Manish Pandey batting at the top four spots. Being top-heavy does not mean a shallow middle order at all, especially for Lucknow. With Deepak Hooda and Ayush Badoni batting at N0.5 and N0. 6, the LSG management has ensured things end well for them. And this has worked really well for them. Both Badoni and Hooda have been reliable with their job. Having Krunal Pandya at No. 7 and Jason Holder at No. 8, makes sure that LSG don't fall apart when things go south with the top order. Their bowling attack also looks potent with Avesh Khan back in form. Ravi Bishnoi and K Pandya are handling the slow-ball department. Andrew Tye is there for mixing it up with Holder's and Avesh's pace.

Prithvi Shaw is yet to deliver as per his potential but still he will keep one of the opening slots to himself. The other one will be taken by David Warner. Rovman Powell is expected to get one more chance at No.6. The bowling attack is expected to remain the same apart from the inclusion of Anrich Nortje.

Chasing has been easy at DY Patil Stadium and thus toss becomes crucial. Although failed to chase 172 the other day, with the return of David Warner, it won't be an uphill task for them. LSG have already shown that they can chase big totals (211 against CSK). So, no team is a favorite and much will depend on the toss.
