The Chennai Super Kings will go head to head against Sunrisers Hyderabad in the seventeenth match of the 2022 IPL. Both teams are still looking for their first victory of the season and will break their losing streak in this game. SRH lost to the Lucknow Super Giants by 12 runs, whereas CSK suffered a 54-run defeat against the Punjab Kings.
The pitch at DY Patil can benefit the pacers in the early moments of the game with the new ball. But like a majority of pitches in Mumbai, here also the pitch will help the batters as the match progresses. If the bowling team manages to keep the ball dry, the spinners could also perform well as the ground is slightly bigger than other grounds.
Chennai Super Kings:
After winning the last year’s tournament, the Chennai Super Kings have suffered a major fall from grace as they have failed to win a single match. The team has struggled in the bowling department as they have conceded a lot of runs while the batting has managed to fire in some games but hasn’t looked consistence.
Probable Playing XI:
Ruturaj Gaikwad, Robin Uthappa, Moeen Ali, Ambati Rayudu, Ravindra Jadeja (c), MS Dhoni (wk), Shivam Dube, Dwayne Bravo, Chris Jordan, Dwaine Pretorius, Mukesh Choudhary
The Sunrisers Hyderabad have managed to replicate their performance from the last season as the bottom-placed team in the tournament. This year, Hyderabad has potential but hasn’t shown any promise as they have lost both their games. Bowling has been their strength over the years and similarly this season as well the bowlers have performed better than the batting line-up.
Probable Playing XI:
Kane Williamson (c), Abhishek Sharma, Aiden Markram, Rahul Tripathi, Nicholas Pooran (wk), Abdul Samad, Romario Shepherd, Washington Sundar, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, T Natarajan, Umran Malik
Out of these two teams, the Sunrisers Hyderabad could register their first victory of the season. SRH has looked like a better team and had actually come close to winning their previous game in comparison to CSK.
